Well to start with this particular product, beats electronic is company behind audio stuffs that are specially linked with music. Talking about the brand name it comes from the famous hip-hop singer “Dr. Dre”, while Dr. Dre and Chairman Jimmy Lovine are behind this products and stands as founder for the company Beats Electronics, situated rite to the heart of America i.e. Santa Monica, California. To start with the user, Beats headphone are specially loved and used by music lovers. Beats products includes a varieties of headphone and speakers, recently it has been collaborated with HP laptops and HTC mobile phones to produce new products. These headphones are used by music artists; the sound quality of this headphone is the reason for its huge success. This has become a popular culture at present because when people talk about the best headphone to buy, beats by Dr. Dre is the answer in every one’s head. Likewise different myth and no of icons are into these products.

Buying beats headphone has become a trend for every single music lovers at present. The Popular belief that these pieces of headphones are manufactured as reliable with quality sound, While music producers, DJ, singers are especially into it. It’s also said that the brand of this headphone is the reason for its rise in price. It’s said that the quality of sound is perfect that means clear, crispy and loud. Also whenever it’s about a gift to give for a music lover beats by Dr. Dre has helped to choose it wisely as there are hardly number of people who would deny this product as a gift. People are fond of music and when a headphone can deliver a perfect sound people are into it.

Recently to increase the customers the company has launched beats in the name of famous artists namely Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber with their beats named as heartbeats and Just beats respectively. Besides quality and durable these headphones are used by numbers of celebrities including Justin Bieber, lady Gaga, Eminem, DJ Khaled, Kobe Bryant and many more this is the reason fans are crazy to owe one.

Finally to overview myths are linked with negative as well as positive regarding beats by Dr. Dre, thus this may not be always exact, as myth is an unproved belief to justify what society thinks. This may vary from individual to individual such as beats is not only used by music lover or professional artists, it can even be used for communication like video calling. Likewise beats owners may regret about buying beats products as there are series of beats product, for instance buying a heartbeat may lead to regret when it’s especially for girls. And also people may like new versions of beats when they already buy the older versions.

Icon Analysis

Well for me Icon is an image, like representation of something.Recently going through the movie The Avenger I realized my icons to list were all the super heroes listed in it. Well to list any three I have chosen Iron man, The Hulk from the movie and from music industry my favorite singer Eminem.

To start I have chosen Iron Man as my first icon, Tony Stark, a rich playboy and an industrialist. Well when it’s superhero with attitude and class its Iron Man for sure. Iron man loves to party and hangout with music high. He’s updated with latest gadgets and fond of new cars. While Tony Stark builds weapon as a business for the military.

Likewise the Hulk, angriest part of Bruce, When Bruce gets excited or angry he turns into a big green powerful muscled version called the Hulk. Hulk is a green powerful superhero who runs fast, even bullets can’t penetrate through him. Bruce Banner is a gifted scientist with particular expertise in nuclear physics and biochemistry.

Finally in the field of music I have taken Eminem (Marshall Bruce Mather’s III) as an icon. He is a white rapper and also known as “The King of The Hip Hop”. His lyrics are amazing and people are crazy about him. When people talk about white rapper then Eminem is the name in every music lovers head. For me Eminem lyrics and the way he rap is the most that affects me. His dress up is cool and most of people follow him.

 Iron man and Hulk are the saviors of the world. Talking about Tony Stark (Iron Man), he is a star and a leader in the weapon business, the way he handles the situation is what attract me the most while, Hulk is a huge muscled super hero. He’s my hero because despite those experimental he finally handles his anger. Eminem speaks about life in his lyrics this inspires me that I got loads to do in my life ahead and this is the reason they are my icon.

Popular Culture “Artifact”

Popular culture designates cultural patterns that are wide spread among a society’s population (Macionis, 2009). In my view Popular Culture is a trend which is followed by a group and is familiar or followed by majority of people. It can be anything such as language, religion, food, costumes, gadgets, habits, and many more.

Talking about understanding of popular culture relevant to business environment, popular culture comes with a group of people views; while it’s relevant to business environment as from the popular culture we can be aware about the needs and requirements of people and start business accordingly. For instance a customer looks forward for every features such as phone, I pod, camera, games that is how gadgets like I-phone and I-pad got introduced. As an entrepreneur we should look how the trend of customer and is and introduce products.

Likewise understanding popular culture for future is also important, In future in work-place if we are aware about the popular culture i.e. trend of group then that will be helpful to understand between co-workers and the surroundings.      

For the artifact, I have taken a picture of headphone of beats by Dr. Dre. At present situation for music lover this headphone is a popular culture as people are crazy about it, the sound system of this headphone is crazy and the best one can get.
